The Mukherjee group is making headways into the development of energy-efficient nanoporous adsorbents (particularly those fostering environmental sustainability). Winning the University of Limerick President’s Research Excellence and Impact Award 2022, Dr Mukherjee’s publication record is a testament to his research impact: with 100+ peer-reviewed publications in the areas of porous materials chemistry, it sets him at the top tier of all young academics (<10 Y since PhD). Curated and published by the Stanford University (US), the October 2024 list of globally highly-cited (top 2%) researchers includes Dr Mukherjee for the fourth year in a row.
